Still not fully updated with everything I have! BACKGROUND: This was an at least in 2023 issue item (since i got my personal coin set in 2023) – Information is very sparse due to language barrier and Chinese sources being vague. But the official WOW forums in China are NGA. This is also more than just a forum site, it is gaming news as well, and not just Blizz titles! Kind of a mix of everything that has come together on 1 site. The WOW forums are also called “Hall of Azeroth” on the forums. To get an idea of it’s popularity, I randomly went to the site and checked that there were roughly 45k online visitors currently! DETAILS: This was a gift given as a token of appreciation for the all hard work the moderators have done for the WOW forums. The coin set is unique in the sense that they are modeled after what the mods stood for / represented. As well as some random humour thrown in. THE BOX: A Black colored box, the front of the box has golden etched Chinese characters – I was unable to translate this – but it refers to what the item is / stands for most likely. The bottom side of the box has the official forum site address in the corner. Opening the box also reveals Chinese characters that has to do with what the item is most likely. THE COINS: There are 3 unique coins, Metal in material. Displayed in order N – G – A. Each coin has different words/terms on their outer ring. These are what the mods stood for, were associated with, chose to be represented as. A very personalized item indeed, they are as follows. N == Nourishing – New – Narrative – National. G == Game – Gratitude – Glorious – Geographic. A == Adventure – Authentic – Alive – Azeroth. The rear of each coin features Feathers McGraw, this character is from Wallace and Gromit – extremely random and nothing to do with WOW – but the Feathers holds a deeper meaning to the mods it seems, or it’s just a troll thing on their end! It is unknown weather the mods themselves had a say in the design of the set, or whoever was responsible for – knew that mods really well. Since the set seems very personalized and unique! I have only seen 3 sets to exist to date (mine included).
