The text of the frontispiece translates (thanks to Google) and some editing as. Chinese coins culture has a long history, with rich connotations. This Silver Coins Ten Treasures set was created in order to promote the Chinese coin culture, to enhance the community’s interest in the coin market. The introduction of the Ten Treasures Coin set is intended to meet the needs of coin lovers. This book represents a selection after fine screening of the most rare actual coin treasures from China, chosen based on proven value, ornamental art and a long history. Most of the actual coins represented by these treasures are solitary goods and rarely appear on the market. So it is quite rare. Each set is beautifully bound with gilt edged pages. Individual coins are sealed behind (I think) acetate and show a nice patina on the half-coins exposed to air on the reverse side. Individual sets are certificated in numbered limited edition and certificates show sophisticated anti-counterfeiting measures. This album is about 21.5 X 15 cm and weighs about 0.8 kg. The Certificate translates (thanks again to Google), again edited somewhat for clarity as. “Collection certificate “Silver Coins Ten Treasures collection contains Fengtien Province one Tael, Kwangtung Province one Tael. Several of the sets obtained were damaged and a representative sample of various coins were subject to examination and testing. A reputable Toronto coin dealer has stated these are struck coins and not cast. Representative coins test as silver using an acid scratch plate test but is likely, based on specific gravity testing and destructive acid testing that they are silver plated, probably over brass. The agent for the’collector’s’ estate thought they were solid silver and consigned them to me as such. Seasoned coin collectors will recognize the coins reproduced in this collectors set as some of the most valuable ever to come out of China. This is an opportunity to acquire a truly rare collector’s piece. I originally had a large number of these sets but these six are the last. Happy to answer all reasonable questions.
