2008 CHINESE GOLD & SILVER PANDA COIN SET. ANNIVERSARY OF BANK OF COMMUNICATIONS. Up for sale is a 2008 Chinese Gold and Silver Panda Coin Set consisting of a 100 Yuan ¼ oz Gold coin and a 10 Yuan 1oz Silver Coin. The Silver coin is certified and graded MS69 by NGC. The Gold coin in ungraded. The coins come complete with the original Mint Box and COA’s. The coins are in excellent condition with great luster and no toning, hazing or milk spots. The coins have a very low mintage of only 100,000. The 2008 Panda coin set was issued by the People’s Bank of China and minted at the Shanghai Mint. The obverse design features the Temple of Heaven in Beijing with the title of PRC (in Chinese) and the year of issuance. The reverse design features one of the many attractive panda designs with the face value of 100 Yuan on the Gold coin and 10 Yuan on the Silver coin. This coin set was minted in commemoration of the 100. Anniversary of the Bank of Communications (noted on the coins in Chinese and English writing). 1980 The People’s Bank of China 7 Coin Uncirculated Mint Set Rare & Hard to Find. Slight marring on Exterior wallet. Coins are in prestigious condition. PLEASE NOTE: There is a piece of tape on the lower right inside plastic of the Wallet itself. There is a break in the plastic under the tape. NOT on the inside coin holder. This is an early set produced as it is the “no brick” version on the Great Wall 1 Yuan coin.
