China 2007 25th Anniversary Gold Panda Set. This set of gold commemorative coins was minted by Shenzhen Guobao Mint, Shanghai Mint and Shenyang Mint. This is the first time China has used all three mints for a Panda program. Prior to the release of these anniversary sets, the last official Panda Proof Set was issued in 1997, ten years prior – and it consisted of one-twentieth, one-tenth, quarter, half and one ounce gold coins. This is the first time The China Mint has issued new coins struck with the past Gold Panda designs. A fitting tribute to the 25th Anniversary of this fantastic coin series! Issued to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Chinese Pandas, this set contains 25 99.9% gold proof coins (15 Yuan) legal tender of China for a total of 1 ounce of 99.9% fine gold. The set comes packaged in an original mint box with numbered mint certificate. The reverse features the customary Temple of Heaven and the Chinese characters, “25th Anniversary of the Issuance of Panda Coin”. This 25-piece proof set contains every unique panda design issued by the China Mint between 1982 – 2007.
