This set of gold commemorative coins was minted by Shenzhen Guobao Mint, Shanghai Mint and Shenyang Mint. This is the first time China has used all three mints for a Panda program. Prior to the release of these anniversary sets, the last official Panda Proof Set was issued in 1997, ten years prior and it consisted of one-twentieth, one-tenth, quarter, half and one ounce gold coins. This is the first time The China Mint has issued new coins struck with the past Gold Panda designs. A fitting tribute to the 25th Anniversary of this fantastic coin series! CHINA 2007 25th ANNIVERSARY GOLD PANDA SET (25 coin total in pure gold). I bought this set from Panda America when the set was launched back in 2007. This set of gold commemorative coins was minted by Shenzhen Guobao Mint, Shanghai Mint and Shenyang Mint. This is the first time China has used all three mints for a Panda program. Prior to the release of these anniversary sets, the last official Panda Proof Set was issued in 1997, ten years prior and it consisted of one-twentieth, one-tenth, quarter, half and one ounce gold coins. This is the first time The China Mint has issued new coins struck with the past Gold Panda designs. A fitting tribute to the 25th Anniversary of this fantastic coin series!
