Just 1,000 of these sets were issued by the People’s Bank of China. Each piece was struck from. The set includes one Panda medal, one Panda coin, and a Tibetan antelope coin. The designs on each of these pieces are unique. The Panda coin follows the same design as the standard issue Panda for 2011. Its obverse features the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests in Beijing’s Temple of Heaven, while the reverse design includes a mother panda and her cub. The reverse of the Tibetan antelope coin features two of the animals shown closeup in the foreground and a herd bounding behind them, while its obverse features the emblem of the nation – five stars arranged above the Tienanmen Gate of the Forbidden City. The medal bears a panda design on the reverse and an anniversary design on the obverse. Perfect Proof 70 and nearly perfect Mint State 69 and Proof 69. All three pieces in this set were graded by the experts at the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC). The medal received a perfect grade of Proof 70, while the other two pieces appear perfect to the naked eye but have at least one virtually indiscernible flaw, so they were graded Mint State 69 and Proof 69.
